Independent footwear brand borne from the converging disciplines of art, craft and technology

If you’re like me, and thousands of other GOT fans, when you see No.One you immediately think of the many faced god. That’s just how it is when certain words become allusions. In this instance No.One is the name of an artisan shop based in L.A. The shoe handcrafts footwear. Which brings me to another allusion and makes me wonder if this company is connected to one of my favorite people Greg Salas of LASCO. I haven’t done the research and for that I apologize. Maybe you can take a moment to do a bit of digging and figure this one out. I’m just excited to discover the company after 9 months.

I took a moment to do a bit of research and discovered that their first IG post was in December of 2016. They’ve released a series of bespoke designs in athletic casual profiles which utilized premium materials and handcrafted construction. The shoes are limited in size and only offered via online and in select locations in L.A.

At right over $600 picking up a pair is a decision to begin crafting your wardrobe to get the most out of your No.One. You can rest assured that you won’t look like every other person out there and that’s a good thing. This is definitely one of the coolest discoveries I’ve found and while I know I’m a bit late to the party I’m glad I found No.One.

P.S. From a marketing standpoint the brand is utilizing a minimalist approach with a very close attention to detail. They have a “Stories” section that updates visitors with short narratives that are both elusive and engaging. They have released a book detailing their No.One philosophy and they integrate artwork throughout the site. #dope
