Jordan Brand continues to transition the Retro Jordan line into the casual arena. The shoe has always been worn for fashion, but this is a more intentional move as it removes any upper construction that would inspire someone to hit the court in the Retro 2. The Decon was dropped in limited numbers and I initially thought that it would go the way of most Air Jordan 2 models.
I thought the shoes would not perform very well. Against my predictions the Jordan 2 Decon that dropped a week ago sold out and is now reselling at twice the retail price in many instances. Sometimes it’s not about the shoe… it’s all about how limited it is. These colorways are a lot more approachable in comparison to last weeks drops. I personally like the tan colorway which is similar to a vachetta styled release.
The Air Jordan “Decon” 2 in Sail/White and Thunder Blue/White is set to release in Fall 2017. Stay locked to jordan.com for more information.
