I don’t think the Air.Jordan.com website has gotten a lot of traction. It’s possibly because the content there is sparse. The site is only updated when there is an event or a drop coming. I don’t think other sites are very keen on sharing the information from there and backlinking because everyone has a need to keep their visitors on their sites. It’s the way the site makes money. If Jordan Brand began to utilize their own platform for info instead of feeding other sites info, it would actually affect those sites as people would begin checking for Air.Jordan.com info first.
Now that I wrote all of that, forget it. Air.Jordan.com is worth sharing because all websites can benefit from sharing information. If sneaker culture is about sharing, then all sites will benefit by connecting to each other.
