This is a great discussion on a new Nike shoe. Nike is first and foremost a running shoe company. When the company started in the 60s as Blue Ribbon Sports, before Johnson came up with the name Nike in 71, they sold Tiger running shoes aka Asics. While Phil Knight wanted to name the company Dimension 6 (wtf?) Jeff Johnson woke up out of a dream with the perfect name. Add the legend of Prefontaine and Nike’s DNA is all running.

Basketball is now what people think of first (MJ, Kobe, Lebron), but when Nike buckles down and begins to design and they focus on running they develop these artistic performance shoes and this shoe the Nike Air Zoom All Out is one of those shoes that forces me to reconsider the idea of running ARCH as a shoe company. This shoe is stunning. Place it on the fastest woman in the world Allyson Felix and it just works.
