As always it’s my goal to stay on top of alternative shoe releases as well as mainstream drops. CLAE is back with a collab with subscription based retail shop Jack Threads. Wool seems to be the go to material in footwear this season. Allbirds (Three over Seven) saw this trend and launched a few years back via Kickstarter and garnered a 2 million dollar investment because of their use of merino wool from New Zealand.
CLAE has been around for over ten years. Their roots in skate gives them the type of cool that is associated with the counter culture, but their decision to shift into a more fashion and athleisure trend was the frontrunner to everything that is happening in sportswear.
