Sneaker sales aren’t really driven by the players in the NFL, so these signings are simply the process of locking up potential all stars before they explode on the scene and someone else comes around to do a cross promotion.
There is an interesting opportunity available in promotion of Nike sportswear and Metcon via an athlete doing cross training and of course an active marketing campaign that is focused on a particular training line and I expect to see engaging content from Nike Football as they brand has moved their basketball players towards the correct channels for maintaining their dominance in sportswear.
