Day’s agreement with Nike covers footwear, apparel, headwear and gloves. He will first wear Nike this week at the Tournament of Champions in Kapalua, Hawaii.

It’s been a while since the golfing world has had a full strength Tiger hitting the links. The sport has suffered from this losing considerable viewing share and i n many circles the game has become an old White guy’s game that millennials can’t rally around and support. The interest isn’t there for the new generation. Nike even stopped making its products and Adidas is looking to unload a reasonably successful Taylor Made biz.
Nike is never one to let things pass them by. With Under Armour locking down former number 1 Jordan Spieth and Adidas going hard after individual endorsers, Nike jumps ahead of the pack by signing the World #1 Jason Day. Who actually bumped Spieth from his #1 perch.
