Yesterday when Nike released pictures of its upcoming ACG drop from NikeLab, I noted that the brand had toned down the ACG release by introducing a monochromatic Summer 2017 collection. The black and white (mostly black) lookbook carried the understated look that seems to be the style of choice right now. I explained how I was always interested in how the colors would work on the All Conditions Gear. Wrong
The Komyuter (Get it Commuter? of course you do) arrives via Nike in a more traditional ACG colorway with a pop of orange sitting atop a bold Navy and khaki gum flavored outsole. The appearance as always is right in your face and undeniably Nike. It’s nice to see Nike sticking to its guns and delivering a product that falls in line with the history of the ACG brand. While the release is a NikeLab drop and will be limited this shoe will probably find its way into retail. Will it sell? I don’t know, but the experimental nature of the shoe matches the way Nike has always pushed forward; with colorful creativity. Use the source link to view more pics.
