While many of the brands out there aren’t accomplishing what Allbirds has with multiple investors and a shout out from Silicon Valley, there are brands that are producing shoes that are on trend and capable of carrying the same style as the most popular shoes on the market.

Ryderwear is a fitness label launched in Australia; which is why I brought up Australia’s Allbirds. The upstart footwear and apparel company is attempting to crack the market via the fitness arena. They have launched apparel and their first shoe was a flat sole trainer named the D-Mak Raw. The D-Mak wouldn’t really turn heads as it is built for strength training and workouts, but the shoe has a premium build and a variety of upper textures from cork to suede.

The F-Lo is another entrance into the knit sneaker market. The shoe is comparable to the NMD, Tsugi, ASICS Knit and other drops that are meant to transition from the gym to streetwear. I have written in a number of posts that the knit trend is becoming crowded. The F-Lo stands out in that the shoe also features premium suede and like the NMD XR1 the TPU lock down cage provides additional stability. The drop arrives in a size 3.5 up to 15 and is given unisex sizing guides on the site. At 115.00 the price comes in below many of the knit shoes on the market which is a good thing. While there are several aspects of the shoe that are obviously similar to other brands, I like the simplicity and materials utilized here.
