#1 Saucony 5000 Bricks

I know this is the most unlikely brand to land at the top of a top sneakers list. The ‘Bricks’ Saucony has the best level of detail I’ve ever seen in a sneaker. If you can show me a shoe that has the quality and craftsmanship, post it in the comments and prove it. I could write a ton of information about it, but I did an article when I saw it initially and knew that this would be the best release of the year.

While the 5K holds it down I think the reason I placed the Bricks at #1 is because of the samples. In the gallery below it shows how much Saucony actually cares about the work it delivers to people. Every model is exquisite. When you take the time to place bricks on the heel collar and tongue, and  in the samples they made an effort to find just the right model… look at the toebox on the Grid and it’s a sample… honestly I don’t even have the words for the amount of respect I have for a company that drops a shoe like this for 120 when adidas, Nike, Under Armour, the Big Three aren’t making any effort whatsoever to create something that lasts for 120 dollars. Let’s be serious, you could take this shoe and place it inside of an art gallery in a case and people would think it signifies some important occasion. Look at the Samples!!!! Each of these could have been its own release and every one would have been better than almost every shoe some of the major footwear companies delivered this year.
