#33 Brandblack Delta Black/White

I’m like every ex ballplayer. If you walk by a court you want to hoop. The problem is I’m older now so I’m typically wearing something that isn’t quite suited for hitting the court at a moment’s notice. To be honest I very rarely hoop. The last English class I taught I did do some classroom balling with sheets of paper and a garbage can and sometimes you really need a shoe that allows you to do your air crossover and pull up through from the white board, over the head of a student. Brandblack is known as the shoe of Jamal Crawford. A guy with arguably the best handle in the NBA. The brand also has a high fashion style, and to be honest I think they also have the ability to break away from the pack of smaller brands with some marketing adjustments, but that’s another post.
The Brandblack Delta is their version of a sneakerboot and although it doesn’t have a lot of panels and design lines the brand was able to offset a minimalist design by utilizing a layered knit construction with raised lines in what should be conflicting directions. The toebox has a traditional knit “oreo” look while the middle of the shoe has what they call Zonal Knit and a lacing system that extends from medial to lateral midsole to midsole. What looks like a loose collar hides a padded collar creating a snug fit. To top off the design the aggressive outsole is made by Vibram. I own a pair of Clark’s with a Vibram out sole and I have to admit those are the shoes I wore when I went 9 for 10 from the classroom three point line.
