Some of my good friends are going to love this new colorway of the UA Curry 3; for some odd reason, the group I’m referring to is infatuated with black and white shoes. Don’t ask me why, because I couldn’t give you an answer. Many blogs are going around talking about how awful the Curry 3’s are doing. It’s true that UA stocks are down but I do not think there is any correlation between the Curry 3 and the stocks being the way they are. My local footlocker and several other locations I visited have already received their second run of the UA Curry 3.
The UA Curry 3 Black & White comes in a black based upper with a white midsole. UA logo will occupy the outside of the tongue ,and Steph’s own SC logo can be spotted on the mudguard near the toe box, and also on the heel in giant letters. You can hardly see his favorite bible verse from Php 4:13 on the heel; black eyelets, black laces with grey speckles complete the look of the shoes.
Material wise, the shoes feature the thread borne technology, intended to facilitate multi directional changes and keep the foot stable ( shooters and players like Curry who move without the ball need that). Under Armour anafoam material covers certain areas of the heel, the medial side, and offers the foot even more stability and a cushioned fit on the sides. I also really like the heel counter which works together with carbon fiber shanks near the heel for additional stability- this shoe was really created with Stephen Curry in mind, he got hurt in the playoffs last season so UA wants to do everything they can to protect his legs/feet and keep him injury free.
