Powerful short film by Common and the legendary Stevie Wonder. This is more than dope, it’s art and it is beautifully crafted short film that narrates in stark black and white imagery the multifaceted face of struggle in the US. This isn’t simply Black America Again, it’s America. It’s a 22 minute graphic so bookmark it or stream it to your tv and check it out. The connection to culture is almost overwhelming.
At 14 minutes in, gorgeous and captivating. At 21:30 Stevie Wonder comes in and you almost feel that Kehinde Wiley took pictures and placed them in this video. The faces of the varying shades of African-Americans is a story in itself.
The short is directed by Ava Duvernay.
