There aren’t many pictures being dropped online about the alphaBounce Mid, so I can’t confirm that this shoe is actually the Mid version of the popular adidas runner. The shoe does feature the Bounce midsole, and heel counter but the shroud and rugged outsole seems to hint at an adidas Football model. Not soccer, but American Football.
This looks like a turf training shoe that will possibly be converted into a cleat, or the shoe could go in the opposite direction and end up converting into a basketball shoe. The high cut adheres to either sport and the use of primeknit as opposed to engineered mesh makes this an interesting shoe to analyze.
adidas has been doing an incredible job at countering punches by other brands. In my opinion this looks like a jab at UA and the Rock Delta. It will be interesting to see the campaign behind this possible AlphaBounce mid.
