What I’m about to share with you right now stems from my Friday’s post in which I confessed how hard it was for me to spot differences between a fake and a legitimate pair of the Adidas Yeezy 350 Blue Tint. To say that I️ had a difficult time is an understatement. The only way I️ could identify the replica was by looking at the box label. Let’s face it, the Yeezy 350 doesn’t have enough elaborate details so replicating it isn’t hard at all. The replica industry has laid its hands on expensive machinery to produce top notch quality counterfeits that are undetectable to the untrained eye. Adidas is charging the consumer $220 for a shoe that can be easily replicated – not a fair deal for the consumer,
If I’m paying top dollars for my product, I’m expecting a unique product that shouldn’t be easily counterfeited or else why am I️ paying this much money for it?
And Steve Joseph made a great point: some of the major brands because of greed are now using cheaper materials that can be easily sourced by the underground factories as well . And not only can they source the cheaper materials but some of them are also able to afford the more expensive OEM material too. This is a serious problem that brands must no longer ignore. There has to be a significant gap between a fake and a real pair. The replica industry has almost closed that and it has left the consumer with no choice but to violate his /her moral compass and opt for the more affordable counterfeit for the reasons I️’ve shared with you above.
