- Christone “Kingfish” Ingram is from right down the road in Clarksdale, Mississippi and is truly the heir to the blues throne. I actually got to see him on Beale Street when he was 15 years old and his voice is incredible.
- Ali Shaheed Muhammad is showing that Hip-Hop, classic Hip-Hop artists are a lot more than today’s hooks and trap beat artists who I don’t really see transitioning in the same way that Ali has into the Midnight Hour with Adrian Younge. (You should remember Lucy Pearl though…)
