Matthew Walters is living the dream. He left a dream job in designing shoes at Under Armour to take on the task of launching his own footwear company. I did the same thing in 2005 and I remember when I received my shoes. I was excited… and then I realized I had to put the 1200 pairs of shoes somewhere. I was still excited, but after about three hours of working by myself the house became a warehouse and every room became storage/shipping and receiving.
In this video I fused together clips of Matt’s delivery and fulfillment day. When a company runs a Kickstarter once you’ve completed the fundraising, you have to deliver the fans of the product who supported the launch their rewards.
This video ends with Matt stacking boxes going out to his Kickstarter in the driveway for the USPS to take. I love that Coddi is using the USPS to ship, but you gotta get an account with UPS or FedEx for pickups. It’s a bit extra, but it’s much more efficient, lol.
Anyway, this is one of the most amazing entrepreneurial videos you’ll see because it doesn’t show the glamorous side of designing and making the cool product. It shows the hustle and grind of starting a company and this is the important work. If you wear sneaker boots please take the time to visit the Coddi site and share the information about this venture.
