Game of Thrones Season 8 had ended and while the series finale cleaned up all details nicely, that doesn’t mean people were satisfied. This release from adidas perfectly matches its inspiration. The problem begins with the timing of this release being pushed back for over a year. When the show was postponed for a season adidas was riding the wave of two strong years of performance. The UltraBoost was still one of the best shoes on the market in both sales and performance. By the time the show’s final season started, adidas’ sales had slowed considerably. The UltraBOOST 2019 had been released which made the older version stale and boring. This wasn’t improved by the addition of simple colors and labels to represent the various houses of the shows families. For many the season underwhelmed and for me this shoe was underwhelming although like the show it had so much potential.
