Retailers and brands seem as if they fail to understand most discovery arrives via mobile search. The reliance on Instagram limits the scope of how a brand or retailer is able to grow their consumer base. Long-form content is a lost art and the digital layers presented in shorter form is often poorly written and lacks depth. Images and videos are needed to do the heavy lifting, and all of this has to be combined to drive growth and engagement. Neither Nike nor LV need to nail visual merchandising every time, but they do. With Virgil now an ancestor, interest in both companies has of course elevated. Neither brand is letting down the memory of Abloh with this experience and the online presentation is beautiful and informative.
