With Dolph gone and everyone else either CMG or looking to stay trapped in the falsehoods of what the streets are in Memphis, Don Trip continues to deliver on every drop. With a barrage of releases this year it would seem that somewhere there would be a drop off in the quality. That hasn’t happened. In every track Trip delivered this season there are those lines that hit you and make you feel it. While Jack Pirtles is the home of Memphis’ first chicken spot, birds in this instance is a callback to the life for the emcee who doesn’t explain what he means because “If you know, you know.” Trip doesn’t dwell on the perceived glory here; he gets you right where he’s supposed to:
