I’ve been a long-time admirer and fan of Lupe since he arrived on the scene featuring on Kanye’s Kiss the Sky. As an educator both in high schools and colleges teaching creative writing, his lyricism was an excellent tool in teaching students that poetry is the foundation of songwriting. In this video Lupe walks us through the songwriting process while engages with the AI prompts from TextFX. AI in music has been a contentious issue as artists sit on one side or the other when it comes to how the technology will shape the culture. Lupe’s decision to be proactive is in his wheelhouse. He’s lectured at Ivy league colleges and has always been on the cutting edge of Hip-Hop and tech. Check out this video and listen to his first song featuring the Google technology.
