The Pharrell adidas line has more traction on the international market than on the North American market. At one point, a Pharrell HU meant an immediate sell out for adidas. Starting with the Tennis HU, Pharrell’s releases have sat on shelves and become discount models. The Tennis HU was a 100 dollar shoe that dropped as low as 19.99. This 220 dollar BYW built to celebrate women is now on sale and the shoe was a limited release model. What has happened to adidas? Is it Boost fatigue, or has adidas left marketing on the cutting room floor in the hope that names will drive interest?
