With the amount of shoes I move through the ARCH Online Shop it takes a special shoe to make it into my closet and very often I don’t get to keep it since my son now wears my size. Also the shoes that I actually keep might surprise people. The Deerupt is one of those shoes that made my cut. The shoe has been around for over a year and no one had ordered a pair and I hadn’t sold a pair. The shoe has now dropped down to as low as 19 dollars a pair for a 100 dollar shoe. The unique netting bonded to a neoprene sock atop of sturdy cushioned outsole isn’t made for everyone. In the wrong socks your foot can shift all over the place leading to your big toe pushing against the mesh. In the right socks the shoes are like a snug houseshoe. The shoestrings are merely decoration as the shoe relies solely on the sock like fit. People don’t appear to be big fans and I can understand. If you have flat feet your foot can slide over the side of the shoe. It doesn’t have any structure at all so wearing it is a bit like trying to keep a slide on your feet with socks. However, once you get used to the feel, it’s golden.
