On sneakers, because the lacing system is typically meant to lock the foot down into the shoe, the flap is integral to comfort and performance. While I can’t see the tongue construction and whether Beckett has added technical aspects to keep the tongue in place here, I can tell you that this entry update to their Reid and Garcia sneakers looks like it’s ready to go from the turf of a course to a date in the club.
