A look back at the top performances and footwear from the Seattle Storm forward in 2018. (via Nike)

This post is something I intended to do throughout the season, but I sell sneakers for a living and do analysis of the footwear and apparel industry. Which means I don’t get to have a lot of fun so I failed miserably at attempting to create a daily update or even weekly update on the league. Someone should pick up on this idea and call it DimeR’s. (If you have a better name get to it.)

Nike dropped a blog post on Stewie’s MVP.

I should be happy but the hater in me is like:

Where’s the video?

Where’s the 300 pair drop of this shoe Stewart wore during the season?

blank

I don’t care that it’s a KD PE… and that she doesn’t have her own signature. Replace the KD logo on this pair with the number 30 on the right shoe and BRE on the left shoe. Add a detail on the insole with MVP 2018 and boom #winning.

WNBA Playoffs 2018

The Playoffs are on and popping: http://www.wnba.com/playoffs2018/

The format consists of the first two rounds are single elimination. This is something I’d definitely like to see carried over to the NBA with the addition of four bubble teams. I don’t have the time to work out the logistics, but I like it. The semifinal and final rounds are the best of 5. The best part of the format? After each round the teams are re-seeded. #wnbahasthebestplayoffformat in pro sports. Well the NFL is the best, but I only watch the Super Bowl (Kanye Shoulder Shrug).

The early playoff seeding looked like this in case you’ve missed it so far:
