This is going to be a great year for those of us who love the game of basketball; with the introduction of better technology and lighter shoes, brands are working hard to give us more value for our money. Nike has released a bunch of great performance shoes this year including the Zoom KD 9 and the Jordan 31. The Air Jordan XXXI 31 Black Toe 845037-108, scheduled to release on January 7th, is the latest colorway of the XXXI collection.
Inspired by the Jordan 1 black toe, the shoes are enveloped in white with black highlights on the toe box, side panels and inner liner. They feature a combination of flyweave and synthetic leather from the forefoot to the heel counter. The flyweave is composed of lightweight threads that have been weaved together for a custom fit, and to enhance performance, breathability and durability. From the midfoot to the heel, what you have is a synthetic engineered leather ( that basically feels like a second skin according to JB).
The shoes also sport the “FlightSpeed” midsole for excellent responsiveness; it works together with the full length air zoom units to deliver maximum cushioning. You also have an interior collar that wraps around the ankle for a superior foot lockdown. Traction is not an issue with the 31, it is equipped with a durable rubber outsole and hexagonal shapes on the bottom for quick directional changes on the court.
