In my daily browsing I often run across kicks and typically it’s something everyone is talking about. Sometimes I’m introduced to brands by other people in the culture. Whatever and whenever I find something new I get excited… even when I discover that the brand has been around for a few years and I’m late to the game. It’s okay to be late sometimes as long as you get there. I’ve done just little bit of research so I can’t tell you everything about Casbia. I just know that the shoes they make deliver on everything that seems to be on trend right now. Sleek minimalist upper, chunky outsole and premium materials in a trainer that is meant for casual wear.

The first thing I noticed was the collab with Champion. A few days ago someone on twitter stated that brands should be collabing with existing footwear companies instead of creating their own shoes. The discussion was in regard to the Versace Two Chainz shoe. Our logic was that luxury brands, or brands not really in the sneaker world, shouldn’t create kicks since inevitably they look bad and in my opinion they feel disrespectful. The AWOL Atlanta features the Champion logo on the side panel and on the outsole creating what I think is possibly the dopest shoe that Champion could create. It’s not just the AWOL (Champion) release though… it’s every model from Casbia.
Each style is a masterclass in exquisite design and premium construction. The shoes don’t look cheap and they aren’t cheap. Each model carries with it the burden of turning heads and making everyone around you realize that you care about what’s on your feet. That’s important in a time when the big shoe companies are relying solely on overpriced knit shoes that feel like repetitious models with minor changes. Casbia has about 8 different styles. My favorite in the group could be the AWOL, but I think I’m settling on the Jay Glitch. The Jay Glitch is art and I’d like to say more, but I’m leaving it as the last picture and adding a link for you to visit the website.
