I’m determined to actually do a music video of some type featuring a new sneaker and a night out eating at one of the many fantastic restaurants in Memphis. The thing is I have no desire to do a video of a shoe that everyone could possibly be wearing when I hit the street. That’s not to say that I don’t want a company to be successful, I just want the video to be something that interests people and introduces them to a completely new pair.
I think I’ll call the series Kicks & Eats. All I need to do is find a videographer and then buy a new pair every month… which could get expensive since most of the shoes that people aren’t up on are kind of expensive. I guess this is a hypothetical show, lol. If I were to kick off the first episode it would feature CLAE’s latest shoe The Edwin.
I recently picked up two pair of Greats Prontos and right now if I did start doing the Kicks & Eats show I would choose this new model from CLAE. The shoe reminds me of a project that I started working on with the new company We Are Underdogs. Last year I was speaking with the owner of the company and was ready to drop the money on an AHN x WAU shoe. I was going to spend a few thousand to import a collab with WAU; when the dialogue basically fell apart. The company decided to continue building its work with both Pensole alumnae and sneaker expert Sean Williams of OSD. It’s good that the project fell apart because that allowed me to focus a lot of my energy into my book that just released. Here is a picture of that shoe that would have dropped:
Nice huh? Well that shoe looks a lot like the Edwin by CLAE.

Featuring a mix of premium materials such as rich or waxed suede, plus breathable mesh and reflective details on the upper, the Edwin is available in a versatile scheme of aloe green, microgray or black.
Remember this is a hypothetical YouTube show okay? The Edwin would have been paired with a date night to Flight Restaurant. I would have probably chosen the Microgrey Suede because I have way too many olive colored shoes… then again I have way too many grey shoes, so I guess I would probably rock with the Aloe anyway. I think the Edwin is definitely going into the arsenal even if I never really do the Kicks & Eats show. I did go to Flight though and I’d be wrong even in a hypothetical situation if I didn’t at least show you one picture from one of the best restaurants in the city. Actually I’ll show you 3 since the 4th pic would make the gallery below too small. If you look at the pictures you get why it’s called Flight right?
