This video is an introduction to a topic that was born from a dialogue on the shifting demographics of sneakerheads. While the initial topic was how marketing people are missing an opportunity due to a failure to understand that “sneakerheads” are no longer niche, it developed into a back and forth on recognizing brand heat through reselling. The goal was to explain that through reselling you can see when a brand is going to take off and become more popular. The reselling in this instance is not about hyped or hot sneakers. The reselling is in regard to general release sneakers using the Amazon Marketplace as evidence of sales.

In this video I bring up a post on ARCH. The article below shows when adidas became a shoe that was moving towards resell: https://arch-usa.com/how-nike-is-comb…

I also give you access to my sales history and data. https://arch-usa.com/arch-investment/

I finish the video by showing you how in 2016 heading into 2017 adidas general releases were selling for way above retail which proved that the 2015 data on the Flux was an indicator of brand momentum.

It’s a detailed video but definitely requires more time.
