When the DC Universe first presented Gotham City University, Under Armour created a collection that highlighted the fictional school. This week Zack Snyder’s cut of the Justice League, which runs 4 hours long, dropped and it is a much better film.
The sneaker analyst in me perked up when the football scenes featuring Victor Stone aka Cyborg were shown. In every scene featuring the character Under Armour was highlighted via product placement. With the rollout of this new version, UA had a chance to bring the actor on board who plays Cyborg (Ray Fisher) as an influencer. He could have highlighted the Devin Allen collection or featured another product as the rollout of the film took place.
I call this a missed opportunity in marketing.
