I posted this picture during the Kickstarter campaign to show me working out by using a Kinect game to shadowbox. I’m posting it now because it perfectly represents the next step I’m taking in the development of ARCH as a brand and developing my own brand. If you aren’t aware I also operate a blogging and publishing platform named CBP: www.cbpublish.com. The platform shares a lot of information on art, music, film, social and business topics. I’ve always kept ARCH seperate from CBP, but there really isn’t a good reason for that. ARCH is my passion, but I consider it my job since the Online Shop and ARCH provide income. CBP is my passion project and it’s important for everyone to know that you have to have a passion project. Everyone needs something they do, not just for the money, but because they enjoy the outcome of producing valuable ideas.
With that said, what is the next step for staying motivated? For me ARCH is almost at the end of the first year where the company didn’t lose any money. It’s all due to the Kickstarter project. It’s also a result of logical thinking and limited production. This is the first year that I didn’t make over 300 pairs of shoes. I only made what was paid for without using debt. That’s an important lesson. I was able to get the shoes this year and sit on them without the stress of having to sell them quickly. Today is October 31st and I only have 5 pair left in stock which is incredible. Here is the update to show sales and marketing info on the shoes ARCH Report September. I used the profit this year to develop a new jacket named the Incognito; which takes me into apparel. I made tees and shorts before and hoodies, but I never offered those items for sale. Those items were packaged to make the shoes more appealing. The ARCH Incognito jacket will be made available for order here on the site and on Amazon. I will officially be in the apparel business.
I guess I just wanted to give you an update on where ARCH is headed since the fall harvest is here and this is the time for reaping and preparing for the “difficult” time of year. I hope you all are chasing your dreams and finding satisfaction in the “smallest” events as well as those things that are “big” in your life. Honestly, they’re all the same.
Stay Motivated
