I had to do a bit of research to find out what the story is behind this new Air Max 1 colorway. The shoe represents the 90s (obviously) and water sports (not obvious). The graphics on the shoe mimic the graphics on jet skis and their are nods to water skiing. The shimmering upper is meant to copy the clothing worn by people jet skiing.
