This video took on a different format as I pulled the shoes out of the box and noticed the small details. I finally realized what all of the style cues were as I discovered a tab on the lateral side of the shoe that carried the NBA All Star Weekend logo from 1991. As the NBA visited Charlotte again in 2019 Nike paid homage via a number of sneakers. I didn’t realize that this AM97 was one of those homages.
