I’ve only discussed the Lunarcharge once on the site. That was in regard to the shoes importance to Nike’s Express Lane program. I have personally never seen the LunarCharge and it appears Nike is keeping the shoe out of reach to people in smaller cities in the US. This premium version replaces mesh with a premium suede and of course drops in the muted less loud colors which are on trend. With Nike’s current struggles in basketball (I still think the category will improve this year) it would seem logical for the brand to push this shoe to counter the success of the Tubular series from adidas, but it looks like their strategy is to let the shoe get legs in the international market before doing a large launch here at home. Then again maybe I’m wrong and the shoes are everywhere… let me know if you’ve seen them. Here are more pics and this version is available on the Hanon site.
