Giannis is one of the rising stars in the NBA. His nickname “The Greek Freak” however is not one of my favorites. I feel undercuts the fact that he is Nigerian and when it comes to sneakers I think as he begins to get older calling the man a “Freak” will seem really awkward. The sneaker however is really nice and moderately priced for a signature release. While the toebox design and use of mesh instead of Flyleather in sections leaves me a bit disappointed I do like the overall aesthetics. The reverse Swoosh and translucent, sticky outsole with a maze like traction makes for an interesting option for Nike’s latest signature athlete.
