The Nike Zoom Rookie was a creation by Nike for Penny Hardaway. At one point Nike introduced several post career sneakers for Hardaway, the 1/2 Cent, Rookie and later the Penny 5. Penny is now the coach of the University of Memphis his alma mater and has helped turn around the program and give it back the excitement. Nike is celebrating his return to his roots by delivering a variety of kicks for the first signature athlete to become a head coach in the NCAA.
