Recently Robert Glasper put Lauryn Hill on blast, but not really. He was only speaking truth to power in stating that Lauryn Hill is difficult to work with. I, like the rest of the world, have been waiting patiently for Lauryn Hill, but L Boogie is basically the originator of the Jay Electronica in that the music isn’t going to ever arrive no matter how bad we want the product. Amerigo creates mash ups that elevate the genre. Type his name in on this site and you find a number of posts on his projects. The dude is dope, even if he left Tennessee now, lol. Seriously the time and effort it takes to create a project like this is a testament to his skill as a producer and DJ.
What’s unfortunate though is that hearing this makes me realize how sad it is that Lauryn Hill never gave us another album. I guess that’s not sad though; she gave us her soul on Fugees joints and on Miseducation… and that’s enough. You can bet I’ll be waiting on this to drop though.
