Sean Williams and Dee Wells haven’t hosted a OSD Episode in five years. Even with the time away they still have the longest running sneaker culture podcast with an incredible amount of content. The two vets took the time during the intermission of the African-American Footwear Forum 2019 to interview legendary writer Scoop Jackson. They also interviewed one of the most important sneaker designers the culture should know, Wilson Smith.
I was only able to capture about seven minutes of the hour long interview. What I missed was an incredible interview with Wilson Smith, the man who took over for Tinker on the Jordan Brand line and delivered us the 16 and 17. Wilson also delivered the culture the Air More Uptempo for Scottie Pippen.
I also missed one of the funniest interruptions of a podcast when Scoop Jackson and Baron Davis stopped in the middle to trade stories on BD’s 100 fresh pairs of Air Force 1s, and the best interview Scoop ever captured when Baron took a simple question and gave a 45 minute answer.
This was one of the dopest moments of the day during an incredible forum on diversity and inclusion in the sneaker industry.
