Paul George was drafted 10th in the first round of the 2010 draft; this coincides with the same year King James made the decision to leave Cleveland for South Beach. And if you know your kicks history, the lebron 8 pre heat was launched and was an instant classic. So I wonder if the Nike PG1 Pre Heat 911082 099 was inspired by the events that took place that summer.
Unlike the PG1 “bait” I introduced a couple of days ago, the “Pre Heat” edition comes in a black based upper with iridescent details on the side panels swoosh. I’m still unsure what the logo on the outside of the tongue stands for ( no one has elaborated on its meaning yet); you can spot PG’s own #13 on the back of the shoes and his signature on the sockliner. The shoes are completed by a speckled midsole and translucent outsole.
They feature a combination of mesh and nubuck ( on the quarter panels). They also sport a forefoot strap supported by flywire cables and are equipped with Air units at the forefoot for a low profile yet responsive cushioning. Here is a breakdown of the features :
-
Forefoot strap with Flywire technology loop system provides adaptive support
-
Zoom Air unit under the forefoot and plush sockliner provide responsive cushioning
-
Full-bootie construction delivers a snug, 1-to-1 fit
-
Multidirectional scale-inspired blade traction provides ultimate court grip
