It isn’t often the direct correlation between sneakers and cars is celebrated in an obvious manner. Typically, cars and kicks are relegated to sneaker convention events where the vehicles are used as picture props for the hype brands delivering some limited pair of overpriced shoes. Puma has been a long-time collaborator with various car companies. They hold licenses with motorsports for Mercedes, Ferrari, BMW and of course Porsche. This year Puma has the good fortune of being aligned with Porsche for their 50th Anniversary. Instead of going over the top with the delivery of a sneaker collection, Puma kept the focus on the brand with a series of Suedes highlighting classic colors of the 911 Carrera RS 2.7. With the number of options available to the brand to highlight in their new sneaker catalog, from the RS to the Dreamr and Ignite, Puma could have elevated this collection more with several options connected to their multiple endorsed athletes.
For those of us who aren’t capable of buying a Porsche, this is a dope collab giving fans a chance to grab a pair of the sneakers. A pair of the Puma Suedes will allow admittance to the Anniversary display at Porsche’s museum celeberation opening this fall. If you can’t make it to the event, and you can’t buy a Carrera, you can pick up the last Need for Speed video game Heat and build out what is easiest the fastest and best handling vehicle in the game the Porsche 911 2.7. I should insert video game footage here, but instead I’ll include images from both Puma and Porsche for this collab.
