Algix & Bloom Foam have 10 of these huge algae harvesting machines. The machines are mobile and can be taken to any body of water and used to filter and create clean water. CTO Ryan W. Hunt takes his time to explain the process the machine uses and shows us some of the finished product.

He then takes us to the biggest microwave oven I’ve ever seen. A really interesting part of the video happens around 5 minute mark when he explains that algae can be used as a substitute for the supplement Omega 3 Fish Oil.

This gives me the idea that some brand could in essence create a shoe made from algae ad provide supplements to athletes made from algae… talk about circular!
