After connecting with Adam Port I attempted to do as much as possible to shed a light on the talented artist. It makes me feel really good that smaller channels on YouTube are reaching out and interviewing him. For a person with such a storied artistic career you would think he wouldn’t have a problem getting the likes of Highsnobiety, Hypebeast and Complex to share his work and discuss what led to his recent Art of the Sole series.
The reality is those sites are about the promotion of more prominent stories within the culture. Very rarely do they discuss or break information on super accomplished individuals who haven’t had time to build their social followings because they are doing the work.
