Under Armour Strengthens Regional Structure With New Executive Management Appointments And Asia Pacific Headquarters In Hong Kong
Under Armour has seen considerable improvement in the international market. At one point I condemned the focus of the brand on China as I made the analysis that the brand had given up on marketing Curry and its rosters in North America, but they placed considerable time on taking Curry and their roster on extensive trips through Asia in the last few years. The more I looked at the moves UA was making I realized that the brand had simply placed an emphasis on the location where they were seeing traction.

Today the brand announced a shake up in the executive ranks for their international markets. This update includes, “Jason Archer as managing director, Asia Pacific; Manuel Ovalle as managing director, Latin America; and Massimo Baratto as managing director, Europe, Middle East & Africa. Additionally, the company announced that its Hong Kong office will be expanded to serve as its Asia Pacific (APAC) headquarters.”
As UA enters the 3rd Quarter these executive updates should bolster investor confidence as it establishes that UA isn’t content to rest on a recent uptick in interest in the brand. You can use the source link to read more.
