#37 ARKK Eaglezero Braided S-E15 Off White

This is not the Off White you were probably expecting on this list; and I have to admit the fact that the shoe is by a brand named ARKK and my shoe company was named ARCH was a slight influence on my decision to enter a brand you’ve probably never seen before into my top 40. It wasn’t easy to drop the Eagle Zero Braided into this spot though. The shoe is definitely on trend with it’s sock like fit and it does have some similarity to a Nike Footscape/Woven styles and the price is a bit too premium, but I think you may feel like me when I first saw the shoe. I had a “wow, what is that?” response. The braided leather toebox replaced the empty design of many knit shoes and the nubuck heel counter contrast is perfect. The assymetrical lacing system gives the shoe a more distinctive style, but overall I felt that ARKK was bold enough to try a colorway that draws attention to the heel, but is subtle in its use of an off white design that could be boring but is given texture by the choice of material.
