StockX recently attained a 3.8Billion dollar valuation from their latest funding round. It’s becoming obvious the company is going to have to IPO soon. It’s now too expensive to be acquired by another major marketplace like eBay and the value is approaching the same level as physical retailers. That’s not what this is about. This video is about the small changes sellers have overlooked that has offset the losses StockX has been taking since its inception.

In the last month the site has been updated and the bulk shipping option is major signal that things have changed. I didn’t talk about bulk shipping in this video, but the feature was one of the best aspects of the platform. As StockX has opened a Portland center along with their Arizona, Detroit and Georgia location, sellers can no longer drop 12 pair in one box because buyers are in various regions. To save money StockX is now forcing orders to be authenticated closer to the end user. This is to save money on shipping.

To prepare for the eventual IPO, they have to patch a few leaks. That’s what this video is about. Sellers haven’t paid attention, but they will when my prediction comes true in the next 3-6 months.
