Nike took the 270 into more premium waters a few times this year. Each time they increased the price 20 dollars to 170 placing a shoe that isn’t built for performance into the high end performance casual category. People responded by ignoring the drops. None of the 170 dollar 270s sold very well and eventually went on sale. This model features premium leather and suede, but on an athletic inspired look it doesn’t really hit the mark.
