A team of Nike investigators began looking into the website “Get-Supplied.com” which was reportedly selling counterfeit Nike products.

My guy Tayib with Housakicks hit me this morning with the news of Supplied’s demise. If you’ve clicked through and read this post it details the online store’s abuse and corrupt treatment of sneaker lover’s trust and pockets.
In the ever changing landscape of sneaker sales, resellers have to constantly adapt. In the last year I’ve noticed a change in the market. There once was a time when sneakers sold out immediately, but now the market has adjusted to how it was years ago. You can walk into a store and find releases after release day. This is a good thing. I have always thought that this was due to Nike’s increase in production, but somewhere in my subconscious I knew there was more to it. I knew that fakes were being sold in abundance. I knew that stolen shoes were flooding the market weeks ahead of schedule. These stolen shoes, variants and grey market kicks have made it harder for both brick and mortar stores as well as online retailers like ARCH.
What is amazing to me is that I’d seen Supplied advertising using Google Adwords. The ads used to show up on my site after I’d been googling sneakers. I also see guys on Instagram showing early release shoes and I’ve longed wondered how people could so blatantly sell early release kicks without as much of a question. I now realize that Nike is and was keeping tabs. The downfall of Supplied is I think the tip of the iceberg. I have a feeling that this will be the first of a number of these sting operations and arrests on the early release front. The game is changing and I hope those of you who are a part of it are doing it the right way.
