The Reebok Kamikaze 2 is a shoe that immediately feels like the 90s. The crazy thing about the retro model from the Vector, is that the price is still the same as it was in the 90s. The Kamikaze 2 rings up at 80.00 dollars and because it wasn’t hyped or shared constantly on sneaker sites, you can find it for 69.99 at some FootLocker stores; which is an interesting discussion. I picked the shoes up with a discount code and resold them for over 100 dollars a pair.
In certain regions the model doesn’t have a lot of interest, in others it is kind of coveted. The model features suede and leather sitting on a Hexalite cushioning system. It’s lightweight, but still rugged enough to hit the court in today. Has Reebok undervalued and undersold its heritage? Or does Reebok simply not have an athlete that resonates except Allen Iverson?
