The second season of our hugely successful partnership with Butter Goods has given birth to yet another range of cutting-edge streetwear. The Slipstream began as a competitive basketball model, and this season we’ve reinvented it as a statement street silhouette. Uniting PUMA’s athletic heritage with iconically off-beat design elements from Butter Goods, these sneakers are a real treat for the feet. Made with chrome-free leather and suede – because there is no Plan(et) B.

As sneaker brands battle for second place behind the Jordan 1 as the “it” shoe, there has been a deep dive into the archives for every brand. The Slipstream is a retro release from Puma. It’s one of the first models in basketball not associated with a particular player like Ralph Sampson or Clyde Frazier, two signature athletes from the 70s and 80s. The shoe immediately captures an opportunity for unique color blocking and collabs. This drop with Butter Goods isn’t selling out quickly and is still available after a few weeks of release, but you can fully expect other colors of this model as PUMA strives to find a rival to capture the moment similar to how New Balance has done with the 550.
