We just so happened to be in Miami on Mother’s Day. Wifey wanted to visit The Botanic Gardens, which might be one of the prettiest botanical gardens we’ve ever visited… and the biggest, but the highlight of the visit wasn’t the amazing live band playing it was an opportunity to fulfill a foodie desire we discovered while watching Ethan Chlebowski on YouTube:
We recently watched the above video and I gave it a try at home, but I wasn’t patient enough to wait for the cheese. I need a better griddle also, but I digress. We had seen the Costra, but when we began walking through the Gardens, we ran into the Tacos El Machine Gon food truck and spotted the sign below:
My wife pointed and was like, “Oh snap! It’s that taco.” The kids were like, “They’re always doing too much.” I explained what the taco was and didn’t check the price or hesitate. I ordered everyone two of em for all four of us. Now, either we were really hungry or excited, or both, but they didn’t disappoint. While Ethan placed pickled onions on his (which is one of my favorite things) Tacos El Machine Gon used a avocado based crema with a couple of cilantro placed on top. We didn’t get a chance to check anything else on the menu, but if you’re in Miami, the Costra is definitely a taco worth finding.
